Lily Walker
I am a figurative painter whose work explores ideas of care, intimacy, and value through the subject matter of the seemingly ordinary. I explore how our perceptions of everyday and domestic objects and environments can shift when approached from alternative angles and through the practices of care and paying close attention. I am interested in how both strangeness and value emerge through the processes of looking, modes of representation and the act of painting, and how the often overlooked becomes alien.I have completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (painting) at the Victorian College of the Arts.
